Invasive Species Brand Redesign

Invasive Species is a microbrewery in Fort Lauderdale in need of a brand redesign. Their original logo was a wordmark of their name in scratched out letters. An easily recognizable logo mark was created using a common invasive species in Florida, the Cuban Curly Tailed lizard. Alongside the logo mark, is a logotype using a typeface that shows playfulness, but with a more structured appearance. Clear space, color, and usage guidelines are presented as well as organized examples of correct placement of the logo on collateral. By setting such clear instructions for future designs, the brand guidelines ensure consistency in marketing and advertising materials.

The Invasive Species motion logo was created in order to present the brand in a variety of mediums. The animation can be used as a quick introduction, or as a placeholder on TV’s within the establishment. The animation conveys the logo being filled with beer, to denote the nature of the company. Easing and animation fundamentals of movement were used to create a smooth and pleasing motion.
